Grade 5 Clipped Head Plow Bolts

Grade 5 Clipped Head Plow Bolt:  Plow bolts are designed with counter-sunk, flat heads, with a square neck under the head of the bolt.  The clipped head plow bolt has two sides clipped away, when compared to the traditional plow bolt head, to create a rectangular lower profile bolt head.  Grade 5 plow bolts are made from medium carbon steel.  The Grade 5 bolt can be distinguished by the 3 dashes (l) on top of the head of the bolt.  The plow bolt is generally used in road graders, scoop shovels and heavy construction equipment.  The length of a plow bolt is determined by measuring from the top of head of the bolt to the base of the threads.
